The Sun is shining and our dresses are changing colour!

We ain't even joking.

Putting 2 Rainbow winters dresses in the window is of course going to create confusion for our various passers by.

They change colour in this sort of weather.

Meaning what once were Blue dresses have now turned shades of purple, green and white.

Marvelous what more could one want on a British sunny day?

Apart from Snoop Dog sipping on Gin and Juice?

SAM CAN-Samantha Cameron wears leather skirt.

What with Sam being all over our screens of late it was hard not to notice when we saw

Samantha Cameron rocking a leather swing skirt.
Samantha Cameron in a Leather swing Skirt at LFW

123's Leather Swing Skirt, available at 123 and online.
Hold up.

I think I just posted the same picture twice, or is Sam Cam's skirt exactly the same as ours?!

Being an advocate for BFC and of course the PM's wife; Samantha's attire has been consistently in the

press, critiqued and analyzed by journalists and fashionistas alike.

and what with her wearing an imitation of our leather swing skirt, we think Samantha is on the fast track

to being the next Jackie O.

123 STOCKS NOEMI KLEIN....

Noemi Klein (not Calvin's sister) has transformed London's jewelry scene from Tiffany's and Toffs to a new wave of delicate and quirky metallic madness.

From the West German countryside, Klein's dentist father gave her scrap metal and intricate tools to work with, giving birth to Noemi's passion for "creating unique but wearable pieces that are often one-offs".

With bestselling Claw rings, antique necklaces reclaimed and remade by Noemi herself and Snake spine bracelets; East London's greatest jeweler has arrived at 123.

Who actually IS jack?

A facebook post and a glowing review prompted 123 to stalk, Google, hunt down and find out...

         WHO IS JACK?

We got as far as their website and...we are still looking for Jack, BUT we are yet to tire of our search.

Who's Jack is an online and paper distributed magazine, aiming to explore, excite, ignite and expose young new talent.

"In five years Jack has gone from an idea to putting on live events, urban festivals, had a bi-monthly, A5 fanzine that grew into a monthly A4 glossy magazine and launched  Who’s Jack online and Jack TV."

Interviews with the likes of Mcfly to Two Door Cinema Club, Who's Jack covers an array of talent making Who's Jack one of the most interesting and informative websites to hit the web in years.

So irrelevent of Who Jack actually is, this "idea" that has grown into a phenomenon is sure to tickle everyones fancy, especially ours. Luv ya Jack x

123 has a Baby (shower)

123 Bunker Cafe opened its doors for a
Baby shower.

30 people joined us for an intimate party, complete with nibbles, tea scones with locally sourced Jam and a few children.

On a sunny Sunday the Bunker Cafe gave birth to our first event before the Cafe opened (date TBC)

"I just wanted to say thank you so much for providing and taking care of our baby shower.  It was adorable!"

Planet notion just gets us!

Here at 123 we do sometimes (deep breath)...Google ourselves.

123 hosts the Ethical Fashion Forum

In our (nearly there) BUNKER CAFE, we laid out the Green Carpet for an Ethical Fashion Forum meeting.

10 or so guests came in to be some of the first to sample our BUNKER CAFE delights,

space and a wee bit of late night shopping.

The Ethical Fashion Forum is a non-profit organisation, hell bent on creating a futre for a sustainable futre for fashion.

With their HQ a minutes walk from 123, its seems ethical fashion is faster spreading than the bed bud epedemic across london!

LIVIA FIRTH BLOGS ECO FASHION

The Queen of "The King's Speech"

Livia Firth

knows how to do ethical fashion.

Livia Firth wearing Henrietta Ludgate. A black version is available at 123.

Not just knows how to do it, but wear it, write it and preach it.

And she is yet to bore the world with her (and her husbands) sustainable stutter.

Livia took the "Green Caret Challenge" which entailed wearing only ethically made garments on the red

carpet...

Not only has Colin Firth's wife dined with the likes of Graydon Carter (editor of Vanity Fair)to talk

about ethical fashion's new Project CLEAN BY DESIGN but she is also teaming up with Carter for Christies Green Auction. All in the name of Ethical Fashion.

Livia writes:

"In clear, practical terms it's a blueprint (should that be greenprint?!) for designers who want to design

waste and pollution out of their work, and that includes fashion."

Livia wears Henrietta Ludgate at

Throughout her blog Livia talks of ethical fashion , how to sustain it without even a hint of "ethical

warrior" attitude.

Down to Earth Livia, with a title of contributor on www.Vogue.com , is the Samantha Cameron of

Ethical Fashion.

With her piece de la resistance (123's personal wetting point!) being a dress made of 11

recycled dresses puts Mrs Firth is in a different league, esthetically and ethically.

123 REVIEWS ALICE PALMER AW11

At the Freemasons Hall /Vauxhall Fashion Scout.

After being in John Galliano's final three for Fashion Fringe and having won “Best Women’s Fashion  Designer” at New York Fashion Week 2008, Palmer's latest collection had to be nothing short of a knitwear climax.

And a woollen ejaculation, that it was.

In keeping with her previous collections, bat-like and bold, “INTO THE VOID” presented us with structured knitwear pieces slashed to bodies, launching themselves onto the runway.

With attitude more aggressive than her Scottish heritage, Palmer's vision of structure screamed empty space though simultaneously rich with texture, pattern and designs of character and embodiment.

The pieces, although sculptural, hard and raw, impersonated feminine intelligence, with fabrics of lambs wool, fine silk and metallic colours with such a presence that the catwalk became less of a walkway and more like the Stampede of the 30 ft Women!

Inspired by Gustav Mesmer (a Victorian eccentric who chased the dream of man learning how to fly) Palmer's distorted approach to her knitwear captured the sublime, psychotic and deliciously delusional attitude of Mesmer through various cuts and shapes that resembled monochrome birds of paradise. All of this, through the rousing use of “polyhedra knitting” transforming both the clothes and show into that of a new magnitude.

Alice Palmer kept in touch with her previous collections while bringing a new dynamic to her avid followers with her latest AW2011 show. Titillating, tantalising and toying. So thanks to Palmer purl up with a good yarn, knitwear is going to be on form for seasons to come.
